Format: This is a team event where each team consists of 2 men and 2 women. Teams will face each other in a round robin format according to skill level. Each match consists of 4 games: 1 men's doubles, 1 women's doubles and 2 games of mixed doubles.
Team Rating Tazza will feature team groups with ratings from 3.0 to 4.5. Team rating will be based on the highest DUPR rating for any player on your team. (If 3 team members are 3.5 and 1 is 4.0, you will play at 4.0 as a team).
Scoring: Points are awarded according to wins and losses in each match of 4 games. Point differentials are also tracked to break potential ties.
Medal Matches At the end of the Round Robin, the first and second place teams will face off in a shoot out for Gold. Unless the first place team is undefeated, in which case second and third shoot out for Silver. The shoot out is a game to 15, rally scoring, with players rotating every 5 points scored.
Awards: Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
More fun: Name your team - the more risque, the better! Create a team poster, and bring it Friday night to hang. "Best Poster" voting is done by all players - best poster wins a special prize. Wear matching uniforms, if you can! Best team uniforms win a special prize as well.
Dinner: After play is done, we get together for the real fun of Tazza di TTR. The awards party! First we hand out medals, reveal the vote winners for posters and uniforms, then it is time for dinner, drinks, and dancing to a live band. Enjoy an evening of fun as we dance into the night!
Friday Social The evening before play, plan to join us for some practice time on the courts and then - as the sun sets - get ready for Glow Pickleball. Limited to registered players only, enjoy the latest fun thing in pickleball. Wear your loudest outfit so you stand out in a crowd, and enjoy the fun on the courts!
Entry: Cost per team - everything above included: $320
Registration is handled on a per team basis by the team captain. Team registration and payments will begin on July 1, 2023.

Please note: 4.0 & 4.5 brackets are currently full, but new entries can be put on a waitlist. Reservations will be taken and placed into play if openings occur. Payment will not be requested until your team is moved to active play.
